THE YOGA
The practice of Yoga is a gateway to our inner world. The term "yoga" comes from a Sanskrit word meaning "union". Yoga unites physical exercises, mental meditation, and breathing techniques to strengthen the muscles, direct our mind and relieve stress. Through connecting with our mat, we are able to find stillness in the loud & busy world. Through focussing on movement and breath we are able to transform our body into an instrument of surrender to an ancient discipline. Yoga is a practice that is about self- acceptance, rather than self-improvement. Within this Retreat our dedicated and wisely chosen teachers are sharing variating practices with you (Hatha, Vinyasa & Yin) to support you on this beautiful self discovery journey.
SACRED SOUND BATHS
Sound Healing experience‘s produce vibrations that alter your brain waves and aim to relax the mind, body & Healing 'below the surface'. We will accompany many Yoga Session's with sacred instruments (Including crystal bowls). A big highlight is our Sound Journey where you have to do nothing, just laying down and receive. A soundbath generally involves a variety of instruments or voices, all of which have the potential to shift lower frequencies into higher vibrations. Popular instruments often used are crystal singing bowls, brass bowls, gongs, drums, tuning forks, and chimes. Such instruments provide an immersive, full body listening experience that can help to recalibrate the system while providing a space for healing physically, mentally and/or emotionally.

NEW MOON CACAO & FIRE CEREMONY
Cacao ceremonies are a centuries-old ritual seen as the ultimate heart-opener. One of it compounds, theobromine, translates’ into the food of Gods by the mayas and the Aztecs in South America. The Maya commune belief that the medicine is a chance to eliminate emotional blockages and brings alignment of mind, body, and spirit. In high-doses (30g is considered a “ceremonial” or high dose), it can generate a warm and euphoric body-state similar when feeling deeply connected with life in a beautiful moment. Cacao opens your heart, the gateway to hear your inner spirit and wisdom. In addition to being packed full of vitamins and minerals, cacao increases blood flow to the brain which helps to strengthen awareness and focus. It boosts creativity! The schedule was packed with Yoga, Surf Lessons, Personal Development Workshops and Healing Sessions. Early Birds
Waking up hearing tropical birds singing. Gently starting to move your body & set your mind for a beautiful day ahead with a healing Yoga exercise in our in-house Bamboo Shala (Including breathing exercises and meditation to sink deeper into the magic of your true self). After this you are asked to indulge in our healthy and fresh á la carte breakfast followed by getting ready for our daily surf with the best instructors in town.
Late Mornings
The group is split into beginners and intermediate surfers to guarantee the most valuable experience for everyone. Every day our instructors check the wave conditions to make sure we're going to the perfect break for the time & day. Fun fact: Most of the time we'll be taking a local fisherboat to take us out to the surf! Salty & happy you can enjoy a quick post-surf hydrating cold coconut on the beach before packing up and getting back to our home for the week: Here you have time to shower, unwind, fuel yourself with a lunch of your choice & maybe book a massage or try a healing session with Akim.
The Afternoons
In the afternoon we gather for either a guided meditation, a sunset hike, a self development exercise, a healing ritual with sacred sound, a sharing circle, a painting session or similar. There will be days with Surf Analysis to implement your learning for the next days. See yourself on the board and evaluate what you can do better tomorrow. To round up this blissfull day in paradise the best restaurants in town prepared a delicious, feasty dinner for us. Maybe adding a quick journaling moment for one or the other before your well deserved rest.

What is the best way to get to Lombok?
FLIGHTS:
The quickest option is to fly from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali to Lombok International Airport (LOP). The flight duration is approximately 35 min. From Lombok International Airport to Kuta Lombok is around a 20-30 minute drive. Flight prices generally range from 50 EUR to 80 EUR one way.
FERRY & DRIVING:
Another option is to take a ferry from Padang Bai in Bali to Lembar Port in Lombok. The ferry ride takes around 5-6 hours. Once you arrive at Lembar Port, Kuta, Lombok, is approximately 1 hour away by car. Ferry ticket prices depend on whether you bring a vehicle or travel as a foot passenger. Prices typically range from 5 EUR to 10 EUR for foot passengers and higher for vehicles.
SPEEDBOAT:
Several speedboat operators offer direct transfers from Bali (Padang Bai or Serangan) to Kuta, Lombok. The journey takes around 2 hours, depending on sea conditions. Speedboat tickets usually cost between 25 to 50 EUR per person, one way.
When should I arrive in Lombok?
The retreat program usually kicks off around 2PM, depending on everyone's arrival. Checkin is between 1 and 2 PM. There are many flights from Bali or Jakarta in the morning. Just pick the one that suits you best. You can always arrive earlier and enjoy a snack or coffee on the lazy sunbeds by the pool until your room is ready!
When does the Retreat finish on the last day?
The last official good bye hug will probably be around 11am. A lot of people extend a day or 2 to let everything sink and enjoy some integration time. If you need to leave the same day its best to book a flight between 1and 4 pm from Lombok to Bali or to Jakarta!
Can I join if I never surfed before?
100% !! Floating You in Lombok is a beginner friendly retreat. We learn everything together from scratch. Your first ever surfs will be on a long sandy beach, with a small beach break where you only learn to 'pop up' and practice your stands. Easy & fun!
Is this Retreat for me if I am an intermediate surfer?
Yes! We split the groups into Beginners and Intermediate, so that everyone gets to progress in their own best way. Lombok has waves for all levels. At the end of the week we eventually join both together - best times!
Can I bring my own board easily?
We usually use tiket.com to book domestic Indonesian flights. In case you want to use your own board, we suggest to book Garuda airways or City Link, as they include the transportation of the board in their price and are more reliable airlines. (Different for longboards! If you wish to bring your own longboard from Bali, you have to travel via Sea or fly into Lombok from Jakarta)
To bring boards via ferry or speedboat is the easiest & safest.
Is it save to travel Indonesia solo?
Absolutely ! Indonesia is one of the safest places to be travelling solo. Everyone is helpful, nice, caring and loving. Transport from place to place is also very easy (car's, busses, ferries, speedboats, gojek).
